Established in spring 2017, Football for Fathers is a community based club for football-loving Dads based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.
Football for Fathers is a members-only club, and we run football sessions on a weekly basis for Dads of all abilities, aged 30 and above, as well as tournaments and social events. Through activities, sponsorship and our members' generous donations we also support local good causes and charities in and around Hitchin.
In just two years Football for Fathers has evolved from seven mates playing 'jumpers for goalposts' in the park to 180+ signed-up members playing competitive football together across four weekly sessions.
Our founding principles of inclusivity, wellbeing, enjoyment, community spirited and health and safety ensure our membership of busy Hitchin Dads all enjoy the benefits of regular football and team spirit, with a few pints thrown in for good measure...
Our 2019 Members' Survey, completed by 80% of our members, highlighted the enormous benefits being part of Football for Fathers can provide.
Find out more about our unique story below.
Football for Fathers now run four weekly sessions in Hitchin and have two new sessions for over 50's football and Women's football being planned.

Friday 6th September saw the inaugural FFF Ryder Cup 2019, at Chesfield Downs Golf club in Gravely, in support of local charity Feed Up, Warm Up.
32 highly tuned golfing gods were invited to participate in this prestigious event. Unfortunately, none of them could make it, so 32 middle-aged hackers, whose golfing experience largely ranged from an occasional game of crazy golf to watching the Masters on Sky Sports, descended to battle it out for the glory of lifting the FFF Ryder Cup 2019.
Find out how it turned out below...
